FIRST TIME BLOGGER!!!

FIRST TIME BLOGGER!!!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the ALL THAT blog. I've never really thought about writing a blog, but since social media is wackadoodle, I wanted a safe space to connect with all of you. Here I plan on sharing tips on sustainability, fun random tid bits to hopefully bring miles of smiles and very likely some personal content.

As the world becomes more and more overwhelming, I think it's important to focus on your own nucleus. For me that means my family, friends and neighbors. Together, all of those things create a community. Now more than ever I think it's important to build those relationships, create introductions and spaces for people to gather in community. I will be doing just that this Sunday at my home as I host my first clothes swap bday party.

Clothes swaps are having a revival and I am here for it! They are a simple sustainable way to clean out your closet and boost your wardrobe all the while playing dress up with your people. Who wouldn't want to do that? Whatever garments are left over can be donated to a non-profit, a shelter or a thrift shop.

As you know I am here to promote slow fashion, not fast fashion. We do not need to buy a new garment just because we want a new outfit or look. When swapping clothes with friends, you will likely try on items that you would never choose for yourself and you just might be surprised by what you end up with. I truly believe that only through a shift in our consciousness about sustainability can we inch towards environmental justice, which we all know is unjust right now. So I encourage you to host your own clothes swap party or let me know if you would be interested in attending a customer appreciation one hosted by moi.

FUN FACT TIME: Ok so my twins have just gotten their driving permit. One passed the first time and the other had to take the test again. The only question that was the same on the second test was this - How many animals can legally live in your car? Read that again folks. This is not a joke although it seems like one. I have so many questions and no answers. Do you think if I called the DMV, they could answer my questions? So much to ponder and visualize with that one. You're welcome ;)
